Apple trees are already way too easy without glitch lol. Dying from starvation is quite hard.

Why not trying again perst ? New loot distribution is working on perst servers (Eug Harton 0.55 exp thread). Maybe it's ok or at least playable now !

We just wiped again a team of 3 full AKM 30min ago, controlled salemko, killed another player, daily routine but this guy, full alone, killed us 3/4 + 1 random yesterday with only a SKS ><. gg !

Debriefing from my perspective and log provided :

Fighters :
You vs Team (Morphine,Mimouz,Unick,Emilou) vs Albear

You killed Unick.
I found you with Emilou but you were in good position to shot us and you were wearing exactly same dresscode than Mimouz (and our team).
Very big confusion at this moment, was it you or Mimouz and so...
I tried to heal me in treeline in vain. Then I healed myself in a house with Mimouz and Emilou in covering. Nearly 10% life (full grey).

After that big search & destruction :
You found me and shot me incounscious in treeline.
Short after you killed Mimouz searching for you. I woke up and was hiding for support only.
Then you killed Emilou and very very short after, I've checked his body but you were already gone. This part is suspicious because I heard you reloading and I went to your suspected pos only 2s after. Nothing.

Then without visual and critical health, I managed to escape.
Short after you killed a random player Albear, passing by, not related to us.

Good job anyway, first time for us being killed by 1 man without support and low-tier gun.
The dresscode confusion (we're very carefull with that, arm brand is far to be the only security) helps for sure you but it's definitively a good performance.

Yeah right ok.

If I were you I should give an exact date and time (my vision of being specific) to avoid any trouble in future.
We were confused after the first wipe happened at exactly 00:00 CET on 11/02 before the scheduled maintenance at 07:00 (real wipe btw, nothing survived).
It was BIS for sure or provider, it was not a server crash (exact time 00:00).

Window starts like every week around 06:00 am, not 00:00. I loose stuff like some other players as you know. Not a big deal anyway.

You are right that no matter which decision you make will be the correct one that's the nature of the internet sadly but i do most definitely think turning it off is a good choice.

Its a good idea that isn't finished yet simply.

I might also add that both OS1/2 is full right now, ooooooo yeee :D

Btw the entire game is a good idea too but not finished yet... If I fallow your thinking, I must stop playing it ^^
Decision had been taken, I just hope like others that next update will do something about it. The real game is perst on.

One thing nobody talked about considering lootpiles issue : it takes TIME to appears Day 1-3 : it's ok. Day 4-5 : some lootpiles Day 6-7 : critical lootpiles ==> wipe.
One crazy idea should be to wipe twice a week.

#2 : crashsites are now visible (persistence on)

Lot of new things (0.53 stable) related to helping you on camp :
- 20L of water inside cannister (4% = one full steel flask)
- Leather clothes (making interesting to harvest tans ans stocking on camp)
- Trucks persistence is ok, you can save your truck one week (very usefull), the duration makes it fair if everyone have taken all trucks (15 is huge).
- new fire, making more easy to warm. Not persistent sadly (but you can stock components).

0.53 rocks !

I'm convinced that the actual situation is a good choice. Offering 2 solutions is quite fair for both sides of people, making everyone happy.

Persistence is not full ok yeah but this is the real game : harder loot and possibility to stock. With 0.53 we will maybe see some improvement against loot circling and loot exploits. And of course, you know that with 0.53 V3S will be persistent too, wich is a major evolution for base team gameplay. Tried it on exp, having your own V3S on your camp is very nice. And you will be able to trace ennemy V3S in order to find ennemy camps and a lot of new behaviours, strategies.

In addition, you might have noticed the pervert effect on #1 : some players only playing during the 5min after a restart in order to loot asap, again and again and not exploring at all. Let be realistic, it's just restart exploit, this is killing the gameplay from my opinion, making some areas always empty because some people are never satisfied with their own loot, searching more and more, avoiding others and fights.

#2 : Truck ambush. One part of the team remains inside a truck and is retaining maximum attention from targets, circling close to them. Meanwhile other part of the team try to get as close as possible to the ennemy.

#1 : Classic Ambushes at Veresnik against restarters (players who only play at restart by looting asap specific areas and disconnecting short after)

For this one a player stays far from Veresnik in order to stop the target retreat. The team fire at the target in order to send it right into the last man hidden.

Again! WE DO NOT WIPE. Bohemia Interactive does. Read their release notes to know if they plan to wipe. There is always a risk  that your stuff is gone.

And I guarantee you that in a couple of days you will start complaining about persistence on OS2. We had this discussions before (just use the search function). But with two servers you can decide.

Ok ! So your control on the server is quite limited actually... for now.

For camp makers : I spent a lot of time on stable public servers, the maintenance wipe is not always happening on schedule, it depends mostly on the provider. Sometimes 24 or 48h after the BIS warning.
I usually pack the camp on tuesday evening and waiting the wipe succeed  before unpacking.

In addition, some nice quote from Reddit very explicit : "in summary, the reasons to wipe servers have nothing to do with whether a server is public or private. This is because exploit #1(duping) affects both public and private alike and exploit #2(loot cycling) specifically affects all persistence enabled servers, public or private."

I hope the server will be "strong enough" to survive between wipes !

I'm very enthusiastic with this new try of persistence on #2 ! Making a camp again...

Do you intend to wipe (hard reset) the #2 in a weekly period or whatever ?
Publics servers are doing it as you know in order to limit the downgrading bound to happen (restart after restart) in 0.52 (and in 0.53 for sure). It's not a problem when players are warned before each operation.
Just asking myself.
