Oh, so that 1 of u got shot behind fake barrack with full ghillie suit and the loner was shot S side of wall near broken wall. You had also a mosin guy who was trying to shoot us?

Yes ghillie was our guy and when i came in from the veresnik corner and opened fire, then u ran to vybor. We looted both corpses and went to meet the guy who was shot to give him back hes gear.

Yeah, we were running away as we didn't knew if there was the third guy (you) when we heard the shots and goddamn u went close. we six sacked but gladly got away :D

You did the right thing. There were still 3 of us. As you only shot one of us and that other lonley guy :) Cya @ north sometime again ;)

While I agree the thing is broken, I'd really hate to see it turned off now. My group and I are having so much fun filling our stash with stuff.

The only loot pile I've encountered has been in Kamenka, so it's not like I've capitalized on persistence bugs. I just have more teddy bears than I know what to do with.

Some encounter loot piles at Vybor or wherever and get geared to the death in a minute. Then again, the same can happen without persistence -- you can nail a crash site with a M4 and STANAGs. You were simply there first. I'm never there first and it doesn't particularly bother me. I don't think others having more gear than me is unfair or improbable given the setting. After all, there is very little an AKM can do that SKS can't.

I was very much against having persistence on before it was segregated into it's own separate server. I hated the fact that some areas of the map were simply thoroughly picked clean to the point that there was no food for kilometers which made it very tedious to travel. Now OS2 is just a gear dump and regular play happens on OS1 and it's just fine.

The point is that atm server2 is unplayable with it constant crashing. And when server1 is full like it is in every evening server2 is still pretty much empty. I see it as a waste of resources for OldSchool. But thats only my opinion and real decider is the owners.

Not only is the loot messed up. Server 2 crashes way too often to play there when server 1 is full.

The problem is as soon as you tell someone to stay at theyr place and not to move they are just booking it out of there as fast as they can. And theres no way you can catch them with your gun in your hands. And u cant even shoot them if your not pointblank range. Until the stupid sprint for ever is in game i will KOS if i dont have other person cornered so he/she cant just run away. The fact that most other players KOS aswell its allways better to kill others than die cuz i tryd to give them a chance. And the fact that most people even if given the chance to surrender still decide to fight cuz they have nothing to lose realy. Getting killed and gearing back up takes like 15 minutes. So i would take my chances of getting killed or killing them. If they capture me theres huge possibility they make some silly things with me and kill me anyway(takes more than 15 minutes of my time).

Thread about our doings in server. We are bunch of guys/girls some started playing at the start of the mod others just few months ago. We play oldschool bandits that means we lurk the north and try to kill everything there. At the coast we are neutral and usualy dont kill if we dont have anything to gain from others.(we are at the coast only when we die and spawn back in).

First video i have rendered and uploaded from Oldschool action:

After multible fails starting from wrong zeroing to blue on blue shooting we make it out with a bit better gear and few kills.
NB! Recording dos not include my com talks. You can still hear me jellying at the background of my gfs mic at some points tho.

Today I was watching Zelenogorsk military base while a mate was looting. When he was in one of the barracks, another survivor in military gear entered the base from the north. Apparently he saw my mate as he was lying down, targeting at the entrance of the barrack. I didn't want to take any chances so I gave my mate covering fire. I hit the lad although he was not mortally wounded so he was able retreat. But this was enough for my friend to get out of the base. Shortly afterward I spot two snipers lying in the woods north of the base. They saw me to and tried to shoot me. However on more than 800 meters distance this is a tough shot. You guys got lucky that you saw me the moment I spoted you. So we took a controlled retreat.

No kills today.

Kill/Death ratio: 2

Was our group at the other side of the Zeleno camp. One of us was in there to get the survivor we saw entering the base just before us. Then all of suden he got shot and i spoted 1 survivor at the other side. Tryed to shoot after my friend was getting out of the camp. Distance was over 900m so my shot landed way way short. We patched up our buddy after you guys left and loged short after that.
