There are definitely more veterans on the server which are used to playing first person only.

When playing on experimental 3rd person server I almost never die and kill half the server before even catching one bullet. I would say the skill level on oldschool is way higher than on public servers.

The problem is that you can lootcycle. And if someone cycles loot it will result in an unstable CLE.

I started 5 fresh lives in all of 0.58 and had no problems getting geared to the point where I had everything to survive. Including good weapons.

The only bug which really bothers me is the door state bug. I hope it gets fixed before stable. Otherwise we will get lots of "wallhacking" reports.
And lootcycling shouldn't be possible at all. If someone is near a spawnpoint there shouldn't spawn any loot at all.

Borsuk. This is an Alpha. There will be a hundred more patches which will break the game. If people don't know this they can leave. Read the latest Status Report. Hicks stated everything quite well I think.

I give DayZ a break until 0.56 until the loot economy is working again. Nothing bad with it. I recommend everyone doing the same.

Oldschool is very very KOSy. ;)

And many many people have no microphone.

But look at it like that: There is not a lot to do in this game at this point apart from shooting people. You want an adrenaline rush? Get into a firefight.
I play this game for over a year now. I have talked to people and I have sung with people and I have looted with people. But it gets old after a while.

I am still friendly to underequipped people as long as they don't try to harrass me. I even help them if they want help. But every full geared guy in the W/NW gets shot on sight.

Player "David" attacked on of our members at a crashsite near Zelenogorsk earlier today 25.01.

His life was ended with a seven hundred meters shot straight to the dick.

We had a guy called "Asscancer" yesterday as well. Killed him in Kabanino. He doesn't have a microphone and tried to KOS us. We killed him then.

With a name like that and no microphone such guys shouldn't even be on this server. They add absolutely nothing to the experience except blocking a player slot.

We have the same problems with people.

Either they don't talk at all ... or they pull their weapons.

Yesterday there was a guy with a Blaze in Kabanino. We tried to stop him and maybe force him to drop his gun so that we don't have him in the back when going East. He didn't want to talk to us after several tries to communicate with him. Then he just ran away in circles and we needed to shoot him. You never know if these guys come back.

Of course we got attention of two other guys which we both killed then. But what the hell. GET A MICROPHONE AND TALK!

it would b great to check players steam profiles before adding em on whitelist  ;)
Heeeeyyyy, we have a volunteer to check every day an avarage of 50 new Members.

You know that there are ways to automatically check this via Steam API?
There are private shards already doing this. I don't say that you need to do this but please be open to suggestions even if they don't seem viable at first.

Bugs get fixed at a later time of the development.

The action in the end was glorious.


Kamphare was killed by his mate though. True that the first mosin shot from the other player hit but Kamphare could have survived this. But the SKS in the back from 1 meter was the major problem in the end...

Regarding the flashbang... I am pretty sure that it flashes though ceilings as well. (Since DayZ has no real ceilings at the moment). So you could have been throwing it in from outside and then breach the upper floor. But whatever. At least it came to a good use. I always die early when having a grenade.. :(
