The BATTLE of the BARREL pt 2 it´s here, ladies!


Unfortunately there are problems with the whitelist procedure. So no whitelist today as announced!

Part 2 of the BATTLE of the BARREL is planned to take place in Chernarus on Sunday the 12 of March, 8 PM CET in a yet unknown location.

On 8 pm CET we will post a picture in this thread indicating which part of Chernarus you should move into. It will be announced in shoutbox, Facebook and Twitter. Then we will release 3 more pictures that will show more and more excactly where the barrel will be located. This way a coward can´t just run straight up and grab the barrel and log out, if he/she is so lucky to be close by. This time you gonna have to search!

But "what´s innit for me?" you ask. Three weapons have been donated by true hardcore Oldschoolers this time:

Honeyiscool, Cameljohn, Laasti, Mr.Moonshine, Mbok, John Doe donated a cursed SVD with PSO1-1 scope, mags and ammo!

Marzipan donated a UMP with second mag, suppressor, RDS , 25 bullets and Gunwrap!

Honeyiscool, Cameljohn, Laasti, Mr.Moonshine, Mbok, John Doe also donated a FN FAL; ACOG, clip and 20 rounds!

Is it common that people camp the outskirts (exit kills), or is it more common to just log out when you're done bartering?

of course there could be roadblocks, Check your back frequently, come to bartertown in big groups, leave in big groups. Its the savest. Don't stop in the next town to loot, drink, or eat. dont ad new members to your group during bartertown, shortly before or after. Only Bartertown is protected by the admins, but not what is happening before or after bartertown.

What happened to our 15 ficking barrels !!!!

By the way. Ladies. A serious question.

Dear ladies,

We wiped the persistence without announcement. The persistence file was bugged and containers where disappearing. To avoid that people just grab a barrel and logout with it for several days, then come back we wiped the persistence without announcement. We thought that if suddenly 160 barrels would have to been calculated by the CLE it could happen, that the CLE starts to delete barrels, which were placed by some players and filled already. That is the reason for the wipe. We hope that you understand our situation we had here and I am pretty sure, some of you will be mad at us.

But this will be the last time we wiped the persistence as I don't expect that it changes anything, but we had to try it.

Schortly after the unwilling wipe, I did not notice any difference in performance. And the Developers know about the problems with decreasing performance and are working on a fix. So I think its not related to the persistance. I would also prefer not to wipe because I think it will not change the performance and would be unfair to that people that are working from the first day of 0.61 on Oldschool to get their stuff. The ones who came late.... WAKE UP! THERE IS ONLY OLDSCHOOL WORTH TO PLAY ON!!. Why have you been late??

I know, but there is no other way we could ask.

There was a problem with the persistance wich could be solved by restring a file of an older date. The question is... do we want that, or should we give other people the chance to get new barrels. If people decide to give it a new start, we will just continue how it is now.

If you decide that you want your stuff back, we will restore the files to the 22th.

he told me that he reloaded. went arround the building shot again in the other corner, went then in and saw the dead body. This takes more than 16 seconds. Hlev disconnected instantly. But millard new who he killed. he went instantly in their channel. He could not have done all this and checked his pulse within 16 seconds because if you disconnect, the name is visible between 7 and 16 seconds. Tested it.

As of this morning, our datacenter in Stockholm, Sweden has experienced an extended network outage. Unfortunately due to several of our primary systems being hosted from in this facility, there have been unexpected service interruptions over the past several hours. We have been informed this was the result of malfunctioning firmware installed on the core networking hardware, in which the residual effects have impacted any hosted solutions.

The on-site network team has since restored the network, resolving the disruptions that were taking place. As such, all web based interfaces should now be working again as expected, including the Billing/Support Panel, Game/Voice Panel and so fourth. Please note however that due to the aforementioned problems this morning, several hosting machines are still currently offline pending reactivation. Our technicians are working as quickly as possible to ensure connectivity is restored, where we appreciate your patience during this time.

As of tomorrow, January 12th at 03:00 GMT+1, the datacenter will be performing a brief maintenance session, implementing several changes to our network switches. The estimated time of completion is 15 minutes, lasting no longer than 04:00 GMT+1. Please note that during this time, we do expect all services hosted in Stockholm, SE to become unavailable. After the maintenance is completed, we expect any existing stability issues to be corrected.
